**APS 2 - Library Assistant, Bookshop**:

**THE ROLE**

As a world leading library, the National Library of Australia offers an innovative and collaborative workplace where exceptional team players and technical specialists can flourish. As part of the Library’s team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library’s future.

The Library is seeking to fill two ongoing, part-time, Library Assistant, Bookshop APS2 roles in the Community Engagement Section of the Engagement Branch. The Library is also seeking to fill two further casual Library Assistant, Bookshop APS2 roles.

This retail role involves providing customer service, processing online orders and more. The Library Assistant works within a warm and friendly team to create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors to the Library.

The ongoing Library Assistant, Bookshop roles are part time roles, working approximately 18.5 hours a week in the National Library of Australia Bookshop.

**WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR**

We are seeking self-starters who are organised, demonstrate good judgement, and are experienced in customer service.

Our ideal applicants will be able to contribute to building a warm and positive atmosphere for Library visitors. A demonstrated interest in Australian literature would be an advantage.
