We are looking for a **Project Operations Supervisor - Earthworks** to supervise earthworks and deliver field logistics and operational support for exploration projects in the Pilbara region.

This a great opportunity for an experienced earthworks supervisor to play a vital role within the operations support team, working alongside a team of industry experts.

Reporting to the Regional Project Coordinator, you will:

- Train and coach less experienced team members in operational and HSEC policies and practices.
- Supervise earthworks contractors in the field establishing access tracks, drill site pads and rehabilitation works
- Work with Project Managers and Ground Disturbance Approval Team to understand project requirements, and advise, plan and implement project support and logistics activities
- Provide generalist support across a range of tasks and activities including remote camp establishment, contractor supervision and HSE processes
- Supervise the work of contractors in the field to ensure adherence to HSEC requirements and project standards.
- Lead by example, taking a hands-on approach in the field

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- A background in remote earthworks, coordinating logistics and operational requirements
- Leadership and behavioral qualities that align with Rio Tino’s core values of Care, Courage Curiosity.
- An aptitude to work in both field and office environments for extended and/or irregular periods of time
- Ability to assess earthmoving project needs, coordinate logistics and operational support tasks and prioritise work to achieve project outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems, adapt to change quickly and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency

It will also be beneficial if you have:

- Field project coordinator experience
- Mechanical aptitude, Supervision of Earthworks contractors experience, GPS knowledge
- Proven ability to develop positive and productive team relationships with a wide range of people
- Computer literacy, ArcGIS / MapInfo experience, HR, LF High Risk License
