**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Research Officer (Grapevine Diseases) to be part of our South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) and Major Programs Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist with the management of industry funded research on grapevine trunk diseases and the delivery of project milestones.

The role contributes to delivering the agency’s priorities including Sustain the resource - Protect and maximise primary industry resources through integration of targeted research, monitoring, policy and regulatory.

The role contributes to delivering applied science that grows South Australia’s primary industries, food and wine.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment
- Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).

**Requirements**:

- Full time vacancy until 30/6/2027
- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter / intrastate travel, including absence overnight for short periods, will be required.
- **Essential**: A degree in Agricultural Science, Science, or related discipline.

**Remuneration**

PO1 $66,469 - $81,142 per annum
