Egg Growing Group is seeking an experienced Poultry Farmer to join our dedicated and dynamic team. **Qualifications and experience**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in agriculture, animal husbandry, or a related field; **OR** at least two years of relevant experience in poultry farming.
- Knowledge of ESA guidelines, WHS, biosecurity, and HACCP protocols.

**In this role your main responsibilities include**:

- Breeding and raising poultry livestock specifically for egg production.
- Conducting close monitoring and maintenance of poultry welfare, including regular health checks.
- Maintaining fences, cages, pallets, feeding equipment, and water supply systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Organizing daily tasks such as temperature monitoring, sterilizing equipment, grading, and packaging eggs.
- Coordinating the movement of poultry to enhance feeding opportunities and optimize growth.
- Planning and conducting staff training to ensure high performance and adherence to standards.
- Supervising staff to ensure pens, sheds, cages, fertilization, weed management, and pest control are effectively maintained.
- Ensuring compliance with the **Egg Standards of Australia (ESA)** and all applicable safety, hygiene, and biosecurity regulations.

**Skills**
- Strong understanding of poultry health, welfare, and egg production practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including repetitive work and standing for extended periods.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to prioritize and handle daily operations efficiently.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high hygiene, welfare, and safety standards.

**Summary of role requirements**:

- Full - time approximately 40 hours per week
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
- The ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Expected salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum plus superannuation
