Transport Supervisor

**About the Role**

The role supervises the warehouse logistics process of despatching freight accurately for Rapid Haulage’s regional and local operations as well as scheduling and planning daily work activities based on customer requirements. To make things even more interesting, we hold licenses covering quarantine, bonded storage and fumigation, and have one of Adelaide’s largest quarantine wash facilities, so no shortage of things to learn and master.

This is a hands-on role as needed, and the successful applicant will be prepared to actively lead and support a local transport and loading team at the coalface as well as review processes and outcomes. Our customers and various licenses will rely upon your attention to detail and thorough processes.

**Key Responsibilities of the role include**:

- Supervising and directing warehouse operations to ensure orders are despatched accurately and loaded out correctly to avoid damages with a constant focus on the efficient use of labour and resources.
- Scheduling company transport loads and drivers based on customer priorities.
- Coordinating external transport operators as required.
- Reviewing operational processes and efficiency and implementing corrective actions through the provision of toolbox meetings and retraining where needed.
- Communicating with customers in a professional manner to ensure the highest levels of service expected.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive team environment within the facility by managing, evaluating, training and mentoring warehouse staff.

**In order to be successful in this role you will have**:

- Experience working in a diverse and fast paced 3PL transport/warehouse environment.
- A passion for leading people and experience in driving a culture of safety across a diverse workforce.
- Strong transport skills, experience with information systems, analytical thinking and excellent written/verbal communication for a diverse range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
- A forklift license and drivers’ license will be essential.
- Training or qualifications in Logistics Management/Operations or similar will be highly regarded.
- Must be able to provide a Police clearance and be a fit and proper person

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
