Oasis Youth Services is an expression of the Salvation Army based in the Hunter & Central Coast regions of NSW. Oasis delivers a range of youth programs and services for young people aged 12-25 to support their journey to independence.
About the role

We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identified Case Worker to deliver drug and alcohol focused support services to clients aged 12-25.
Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a Max-Term (April 2025), full-time position based in Hamilton, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 4.
You will successfully- Provide case management support, including assessment, case planning, facilitating education, advocacy, and external referrals.- Provide culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.- Provide family support sessions to family impacted by young persons drug and alcohol use- Provide early intervention and educational programs through group sessions and events that support the young persons and improve the client's overall situation.- Ensure compliance with all related legislation and policies.- Represent Oasis as required at relevant community forums and collaborate and work with appropriate external agencies.
You will have- This is a First Nations Identified Position - You must be Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to apply.- Minimum Tertiary Qualifications in Youth Work, Community Services or related discipline.- A current NSW paid Working with Children Check- A valid NSW Driver Licence.- An understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.- Experience working with young people with complex needs and case management..- Computer skills - Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn database programs.- Effective verbal and written communication, listening and networking skills.- Able to work autonomously and with mínimal supervision.- Compassion and professionalism in all actions and ethics.- Energy, flexibility, initiative and integrity with a positive and friendly attitude.
