**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Farm Manager, key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and lead a team of animal attendants, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of animal care
- Collaborate with maintenance and facilities staff to address any infrastructure needs
- Maintain record-keeping procedures for breeding data and performance metrics
- Prepare regular reports on breeding activities, performance, and recommendations for improvement
- Manage breeding-related inventory, including feed, medications, and equipment
**What We’re Looking For**
SunPork Group has established an efficient, highly skilled yet diversified team that is dedicated to producing high quality, sustainable welfare-optimal products.
As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must:
- Proven experience in pig breeding, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role
- In-depth knowledge of outdoor piggery operations, breeding procedures, and animal care
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the livestock industry
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and biosecurity standards
- A current driver's licence
- A preparedness to work flexible hours (including some weekends and public holidays)
- Be physically fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the role, which includes working with animals and manual handling tasks including lifting
- Have a positive attitude towards the intrinsic values of trust, integrity, agile, quality, innovation and unity

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
