The State Insurance Regulator (SIRA) within the Department of Customer Service is looking for a Manager, Public Accountability to join our team

**About the team**
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW.

The Public Accountability team sits within the Strategy and Performance directorate in the Office of the Chief Executive.

The Public Accountability team supports the agency in providing a diverse range of critical enabling services such ministerial and parliamentary support, privacy, and information access and management.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Provide operational direction and leadership to establish and maintain a culture of teamwork, achievement, accountability and a focus on outcomes.
- Ensure that the team is achieving key performance indicators and agreed business outcomes, and that operational procedures and policies are consistent with statutory requirements and government and departmental standards.
- Develop and maintain collegial working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers, other divisions of DCS, other government agencies and external stakeholders and customers, to ensure services and objectives are delivered.
- Contribute to corporate and divisional strategic and operational governance by working with staff, peers and managers to continuously improve the quality-of-service delivery and outcomes and achieve best practice.
- Provide issues management and support, responding to significant or contentious issues to ensure effective resolution with mínimal risk to the organisation.
