About the role
Reporting to the Head of Women and Girls, in this role you will create opportunities for adolescent girls to participate in tennis across a range of formats, with a specific focus on increasing girls' participation in disadvantaged and hard-to-reach areas. You will be responsible for shining a gender lens on current opportunities and providing suggestions and direction for enriching these experiences for girls.
- In this role you will:_
- Review the Tennis Your Way program pilot
- Liaise with Member Associations who offer specific programs for adolescents (13-18 years of age) and establish links with the Tennis Your Way program
- Consult with program teams and coach development teams to ensure suitability and alignment of the program
- Adapt the Tennis Your Way program based on feedback from key stakeholders including the University dedicated to measurement and evaluation
- Deliver Phase 2 of the pilot program, including driving recruitment and training of deliverers in line with the Women and Girls strategy
- Work with Marketing and PR to ensure programs are promoted and celebrated
- Monitoring and evaluating Women and Girls programs and initiatives, maintaining a dashboard, and providing reporting
About you
- What you will bring to the role:_
- Strong understanding of tennis and specifically the opportunities for girls to participate in the sport
- Understanding of the needs of girls aged 12-18 years (e.g., physical, psychological, social, emotional) in respect to participation in physical activity and sport
- Knowledge and skills in creating dynamic and engaging environments for young women and girls
- Experience in using evidence and insights to guide program/initiative design, planning, delivery and evaluation
- Fantastic interpersonal skills with the ability to partner and collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and ability to articulate messages in a clear, concise and confident manner in both written and verbal forms
- Tertiary qualifications in Sport Management, Coaching, Physical Education, Sport Science, Education or similar (essential)
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
