TLC provides supported accommodation, day programs including community participation and active ageing, daily activities and in-home care.
**About the role**
The NDIS Quality and Assurance Coordinator forms an integral part of the TLC” s State team. They are responsible for working with TLC’s internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and safeguards requirements, through education and training about their obligations to NDIS legislation, rules and code of conduct. The coordinator also implements compliance and enforcement responses where there is suspected non-compliance by staff with the NDIS Act 2013, NDIS rules and the NDIS Code of Conduct.
- Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS legalisation rules and code of conduct
- Working knowledge of TLC’s operations, policies, and procedures, and of NDIS legalisation rules and code of conduct
- Investigate complaints and reportable incident notification of violations of the NDIS legalisation rules and code of conduct by TLC Staff and determining responsibility, and imposing appropriate sanctions
- Assist with various reporting and control functions related to NDIS reportable incidents and positive behaviour support plan authorisations
- Actively contribute to, and participate in, compliance promotion and education campaigns to inform and educate TLC employees about requirements of relevant legislation and rules.
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes.
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project and policy briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning
- Contribute to the providing policy advice and responses to external enquiries.
- Occasionally support leader in creating presentation materials (power points, etc), and submit expense reports as needed
- Perform designated weekly, monthly and quarterly one-off tasks as designated by the Q&S Manager and/or CEO
- Drive timely and accurate compilation and completion of key regulatory documents,
- Assist the Quality and Assurance team with the compliance onboarding process for all new hires
- Coordinates meetings, training sessions and presentations for TLC staff
- Contribute to a learning culture where expertise can be appropriately shared matter experts.
**Essential Criteria**
- Proven experience with 3+years in a related Quality, Risk and Compliance position or relevant not-for-profit organisation ideally in a multi-site organisation.
- Outstanding presentation and report writing skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.
- Interpretation of relevant Government acts, regulations, and policies experience
- Ability to influence capability at all stakeholder levels
- Demonstrated project management skills, and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong commitment to inclusion of people with disabilities within the community; Self-motivated, exhibits a desire to learn
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and complete work in a timely and accurate manner
- Able to work in a decentralized and changing environment and can handle shifting priorities
