The opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Specialist role to join our Brisbane based Quality team in a fixed term opportunity. In this role you will be responsible for providing quality assurance and support services to the Material Support & Logistics and Maintenance Functional Lines. This includes monitoring and ensuring that the company's Quality Management System (QMS) (as it applies to the Material Support & Logistics and Maintenance Functions) remains documented, adequate and compliant with applicable contractual, regulatory, quality and Airbus mandatory requirements. You will also be responsible for resolving quality issues, leading independent investigations and providing quality support to enable service delivery excellence and satisfaction of customer
About you
To be successful in this role you will need to live the Airbus Values, work with passion and determination, able to work to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience suited to this role:

- Minimum 3 years' experience in quality management or other similar roles, preferably in an aviation and/or Defence environment
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an auditor or managing audits and / or investigations
- Knowledge of quality systems, processes, tools, competencies and best practices, including behavioural drivers of non-conformance and how to drive quality improvement
- Experience in root cause analysis, lean and/or contemporary business improvement concepts
- Knowledge and understanding of the Defence and/or Civil Aviation Regulations in Australia and/or NZ, particularly Part 145 and Part M regulatory requirements
- Knowledge in ISO9001 / AS9110 quality standards and supplier quality management
- Ability to deal with all levels of the organization
- Knowledge in Aviation Safety Management Systems would be an added advantage
