About the role
- Coordinate the effective management and operation of Waste management at RBWH. This includes knowledge of clinical and related waste as per regulations and legislation.
- To develop, update, implement and maintain the waste management strategy for the RBWH, in line with the Metro North Waste and Recycling Management Policy and procedure
- Contribute towards the development and implementation of the Metro North waste reduction and recycling plan
- Ensure waste and recycling services on site are consistent and in line with Metro North procedure
- To plan, oversee, upgrade, and implement the waste management services infrastructure and equipment on site
- Investigate, formulate and implement appropriate initiatives in support of recycling and waste management strategies.
- Develop, implement and deliver continuing tailored educational programs for waste management and health services staff as required.
- Action the Green Metro North Waste Implementation Plan as part of Metro North Sustainability Strategy 2021- 2026
