Imports Supervisor

KB Food Co. is one of Australia’s largest seafood companies operating at all levels of the supply chain including catching, processing, manufacturing, importing, exporting, and wholesaling. We provide over 30,000 tonnes of seafood annually to leading foodservice operators and major supermarkets.

Our brands include, KB Seafood Co, Just Caught Frozen Seafood, KB’s, and By George which is used under license, and we have over 2,700 active products in the market.

**The Position**:
The position is full time and based in Mulgrave, Victoria (Nexus Business Park).

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan and execute all import shipments from suppliers around the world including regulatory and legal aspects.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders including but not limited to procurement, logistics, planning and sales.
- Manage productivity initiatives to achieve cost reduction and/or service improvements.
- Manage relationship with vendors, Australian Customs, Quarantine, Australian Maritime Safety Authority, and other regulatory authorities in Australia and overseas as required for all exports and imports, always ensuring legislative compliance,
- Provide recommendations on import operations and regulations.
- Development and implementation of problem-solving tools across function

**Skills & Experience**:

- Experience in Ocean Freight Operations (Freight Forwarding)
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance processes, Incoterms, and government agencies
- Knowledge of international shipping lanes
- Experience in leading an operational team.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP system experience
- Experience working within an FMCG and/or 3PL environment.
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
