Windows and Doors Assistant Service Technician

Yatala, Australia IPA Personnel Services Full time

Our client is one of the largest residential window manufacturers in Australia Established over 35 years ago, they have recently expanded their product range and as a result, are looking to add**_ Assistant Technicians_** to their team.

**The role will have you doing the following (not limited to)**:

- Complete a full range of service and maintenance tasks on-site assisted by a Service Technician including screen installation, glazing, and installation of all oversize products
- Contribute suggestions on Work Instruction and procedure changes; implement new procedures prior to roll out and provide Service Manager with feedback regarding any changes required
- Load materials and keep van stocked to ensure load time is minimised to 30 minutes or less
- Show an aptitude for service tasks including the required level of technical ability. This includes problem-solving of site issues within the team and using initiative where possible. Ask relevant questions of company Management and actively be involved in on-site training and knowledge progression
- Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe working condition
- Ensure company-issued uniform is worn, and you are presented in a clean and professional manner
- Continually develop both personally and professionally to meet the changing needs of your position, career & industry

**To be successful for this role you MUST**:

- Have a QLD White Card
- Own License and transport as public transport is not accessible in this area
- Have a current Police Check or be willing to obtain (at your cost)
- Be available to start as early as 4am each morning and commit to shifts, Monday - Friday
- Be able to pass a physical fitness test on the day of your interview

You will be employed on a casual basis with the view to going permanent after a trial period.
