The Business Intelligence Specialist team requires an organized, self-motivated, proactive, dedicated, hardworking individual and an excellent team player with strong analytical, verbal and written skills to work at all levels of our organization. To excel in this role, you will be proficient with creation and troubleshooting of Tableau dashboards.

You will be used to working closely in teams supporting and being supported by solution designers, data engineers, other BI specialists and other analysts on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery.

You will be well-versed in requirements gathering, risk analysis, project planning, scheduling, testing, defect tracking and reporting. Solid understanding, design and implementation of database semantic layers is expected.

You will also have a solid understanding of privacy and data governance principals of an overarching data strategy.

**Based in Sydney and reporting to **Head of Data Enablement** **you’ll be**:

- Develop reporting protypes in Tableau based on requirements derived from current and proposed business workflows
- Document Tableau Protypes and their source data requirements to internal Tableau developers that will productionise dashboards leveraging Teradata frameworks and expanding existing semantic layers to give life to your prototypes
- Provide oversight and documentation to Salesforce development teams as to where completed Tableau Dashboards should be surfaced within Salesforce workflows.
- Engage with revenue sales teams, finance fand product to distil business requirements into mínimal but robust analytics solutions.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes and optimize data delivery
- Write unit/integration tests and document work.

**You have**:

- Degree in computer science, computer engineering or other technical discipline is essential.
- 5+ years working as a digital analytics specialist.
- Extensive experience with BI processes and visualisation platforms - Tableau is mandatory.
- Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
