Job Description

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Machine Assembly Operator based at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast.

**The role**:
In the role of Machine Assembly Operator you will be a part of a team of 12, reporting to the Team Leader and you will work closely with other departments and external stakeholders including Maintenance, Hygiene, Quality and Production.

Your day-to-day duties will include preparing machinery for cleaning following production shifts, ensuring all parts are accounted for and machinery is re-assembled and tested ready for production. The role also supports with cleaning, knife/blade sharpening, changing dies, and initial troubleshooting on machinery.

Hours: Night shift - Monday to Friday with some flexibility around your start and finish times to meet the needs of the business.

**Your key responsibilities are, but not limited to**:

- Stripping down machines and removing all parts and meat waste in preparation for cleaning;
- Returning production items to trolleys / home locations to ensure the room is fully reset and organized;
- Check that all parts are accounted for;
- Under guidance of the daily production plan, re-assemble all machines with parts and supporting consumables including films, ready for production to re-start;
- Test all machinery is in good working order;
- Changing and cleaning dies and sharpening knives and blades.

**Your skills and experience required**:

- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Prior experience in the meat industry is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude;
- Proven ability to deliver in autonomous environments;
- Conscientious approach to work tasks;
- Punctual and reliable.
