**How will I help?**

This is an exciting opportunity to join Westpac’s Group Treasury team as an Associate Director.

Group Treasury is the heart of the Bank, where you will get exposure to a range of senior stakeholders from Westpac’s Businesses, Group Finance and Risk. The Group Liquidity Strategy team sits as part of the broader Balance Sheet, Liquidity and Funding team.

The team works closely with the Balance Sheet Management team particularly in the development of the Liquidity Risk Management Strategy, but also in relation to the review of liquidity risk management policies, processes, and procedures.

The role will contribute to variety of duties, including:

- Support compliance with APS / ARS 210 by further developing, documenting, and reviewing Westpac’s interpretations of APRA’s liquidity requirements, and overseeing their respective implementation
- Champion internal review processes and lead the remediation of any gaps and issues identified including, but not limited to establishing action plans, liaising with issue / action owners, and closing out actions by the delivery date
- Lead the development of a Group-level liquidity risk management strategy that considers the Group’s balance sheet objectives and strategy and, that facilitates optimal use of the Group’s funding and liquidity resources
- Contribute to scenario development and funding and liquidity input assumptions for liquidity risk stress tests and, use outputs to help inform strategic liquidity planning
- Monitor, analyse, and forecast the liquidity position and risk metrics of Westpac, including the Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR
- Ensure relevant stakeholders are consulted prior to responding to APRA requests and that Group Treasury, Treasury Risk and Treasury Finance stakeholders are informed of communications with APRA

**Ideally you will bring**:

- Combined experience in liquidity risk management, consulting, and/or Group Treasury
- Working autonomously and navigating ambiguity
- Versatile and open to working on various tasks
- Ability to forecast and break APRA rules into interpretations confidentially
- Negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes with stakeholders
- Post-graduate qualifications e.g. MBA, CFA, etc. Advantageous but not essentia
