About the School
Springfield Central State High School is an Independent Public School (IPS) with students from years 7 to 12. We opened in 2011 and in our short history we have built a strong reputation for providing disciplined learning environments with a focus on academic success. About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Deliver operational requirements within the school.
- Assume the leadership of a secondary school student cohort developing relationships between staff, students and parents in order to support the engagement of all students and to promote positive learning outcomes.
- Empower all students to experience academic success through inclusive practices that enable access, participation purposeful engagement and yearly growth in learning.
- Develop the capability of teachers and leaders within the school community that has a focus on being collaborative and strategic.
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Be futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
