**About the role**
Hazel Kitchen & Bar is seeking an experienced Chefs to join our dynamic team in Gymea, Sutherland Shire NSW. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef and overseeing the daily kitchen operations. This is a full-time opportunity for an individual with a passion for exceptional cuisine and a keen eye for detail.
**What you'll be doing**
- Assisting the Head Chef in the planning and execution of daily menu items
- Supervising and coordinating the kitchen team to ensure consistent food quality and timely service
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment
- Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Participating in menu development and menu item testing
- Providing hands-on training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
- Collaborating with the front-of-house team to deliver an exceptional dining experience
**What we're looking for**
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Chef or equivalent role in a reputable restaurant or hospitality establishment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, presentation and plating techniques
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage the kitchen team
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Passion for creating innovative and delectable dishes

Pay: $49,358.94 - $72,060.65 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
