The Office of the Governor exists to provide executive, personal, administrative and logístical support to the Governor and Spouse as well as manage Government House and the Government House Estate. This support enables the Governor to exercise the statutory and constitutional responsibilities and to fulfil the official, ceremonial and civic duties of office.

As Aide to the Governor, you will compliment a highly performing team who are committed to a culture of excellence and who are dedicated to the Governor and Spouse by supporting the delivery of the annual program, providing administrative and personal support to ensure the successful coordination and delivery of the program of internally hosted and externally attended functions and events.

**Key responsibilities include** event planning and management, liaising with host organisations regarding attendance at external events, protocol arrangements, coordinating staff to support daily activities and commitments, assisting with the preparation of guest lists, responses, venue layouts, seating plans, daily programs, entertainment and supporting briefs, travel itineraries as well as budget estimates.

As required you will accompany the Governor and Spouse during all official engagements and be responsible for the management of travel arrangements and financial matters. Another key responsibility will be greeting and presenting callers, official guests and other visitors to Government House and assisting with school visits and other group tours of the Estate.

**To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will demonstrate **related experience working in high profile, responsive environments meeting tight deadlines, managing workflows and competing priorities. You will be able to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating effective relationship management with the ability to build productive working relationships and wide networks with stakeholders. Degree qualifications in events, marketing, business management or a related discipline as well as the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of protocol procedures relevant to the role and official functions of the Governor of Queensland will be highly regarded.

**The ability to travel extensively and to work non-standard hours within a 7 day roster as well as providing proof of your current full vaccination status for COVID19 is required.**
