The Role
An opportunity has become available for an Administration Officer (Custom Support) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Fulfill this role in accordance with Queensland Public Service and Gold Coast Health Service values
- Be the initial primary contact for clients arriving at or contacting the pharmacy
- Liaise with Medicare as needed to obtain relevant entitlement information
- Register new patients into the Hospital Based Corporate Information System
About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:
- While not mandatory, experience in a Pharmacy with an understanding of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme and Medicare will be highly regarded
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent part time (15.2 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $37.68 - $41.90 per hour
About Us
The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS), 7 days a week. Our team of approximately 120 pharmacists are assisted in their roles by over 55 support persons comprising pharmacy assistants, administration officers, purchasing and stores personnel.
