**Wine Ambassador in**
**Chippendale New South Wales **to start ASAP

**Working hours**:Wednesday - Sunday from 3pm onwards (also known in the hospitality industry the 'swing shift'). Shifts are flexible but need to be available on these days. (Wednesday & Thursday open till 9pm, Friday & Saturday 10pm & Sunday 6pm). Generally offering 15+ hours each week.

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- This is primarily done by conducting customer wine tastings, suggesting new wines to buy, presenting food options.
- Serving customers in the retail store and actively participating in venue promotional activities whilst ensuring all housekeeping duties are completed.
- This role is not your traditional hospitality role. It involves looking after our guests and sharing a premium fine wine cellar door experience with them.
- You will be guiding them through tastings, suggesting cheese and charcuterie matches, and imparting your passion and knowledge for all things fine wine and food.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- MUST have a current RSA, a passion to learn about wine
- A passion for the wine industry and customer service focus
- Premium Hospitality, Event and Retail sales background with knowledge of wines
- A team player who enjoys a fast paced hospitality environment
- Motivated by providing exceptional customer service and sharing knowledge of wine to gain sales
conversion
- Commitment to excellence and the highest standards in customer service and sales and presentation
- Diligence and a “can do” attitude taking pride in one’s work
- Organised with an ability to work under pressure in a fast paced hospitality environment and prioritise
tasks
- High level communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Demonstrated ability to use initiative
- Relevant qualifications in wine, sales, hospitality and/or event management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office programs and experience in a POS system such as Revel.
