Our large client with over 1000 staff is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team in which you would be responsible for providing payroll services. This payroll officer role is being offered either full time or part time on a 3-6 month contract with potential for permanency.

**Duties Include**:

- Ensuring all payroll transactions are processed efficiently;
- Collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information;
- Compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, leave and other deductions, and reporting on this as required;
- Interpreting industrial instruments such as modern awards and enterprise agreements;
- Attending to complex payroll calculations which may include; redundancy payments, workers compensation payments, etc.
- Addressing payroll queries;
- Resolving payroll discrepancies;
- Developing ad hoc financial and operational reporting as required;
- Any other duties incidental to the above.

**About you**:

- Proven experience in navigating payroll systems; (Chris21 highly desirable)
- Strong numeracy skills;
- Great attention to detail;
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team;
- Excellent time management, organisation and communication skills;
- Good record keeping;
- Due to the confidential nature of the information Payroll Officers are exposed to, a high degree of professionalism and discretion is required;
