We are seeking an experienced and motivated HSE officer to join our client's team at Moorebank, NSW. You will be responsible for overseeing and implementing HSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and audits, providing training and guidance, and managing incident investigations and reporting. You will also work closely with the principal builder on site, helping with the decommissioning work of a large-scale project.
This is a **six months fixed term contract** role with a potential for extension or permanency, depending on performance and business needs. You will have four indirect reports, including an entry level project officer and an entry level HSE officer. You will work **50 hours per week**, with a **25% shift loading paid on top of your base salary**.
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- A relevant qualification in HSE or a related field
- At least three years of experience in HSE roles, preferably in warehouse, logistics or construction industries
- A thorough knowledge of HSE legislation, standards and best practices
- Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills
- A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- A current driver's license and the ability to travel to different sites as required
