**About the position**
The Bunjilwarra Intake Practitioner will support the intake, assessment, admission and exit planning aspects of the client journey to and from the Bunjilwarra Koori Youth Healing service. The Bunjilwarra model of care leans heavily on the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) framework and youth Alcohol and Other Drug (AoD) resilience frameworks to provide a safe, healing residential environment for Aboriginal youth (16-25 years).
**The Key Selection Criteria for this role is as follows**:
- Demonstrated understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Experience working within the Aboriginal health, youth or community sectors
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of culturally appropriate community engagement principles and cultural processes
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills including full Office software package
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with other members of the Bunjilwarra team.
- Demonstrated capacity to work under limited supervision, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and to adapt positively to shifting priorities.
