**About the Role**:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Officer / Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Head of Safety, People & Culture as we continue to grow and expand across Australia.

The role is a Full-Time role working as part of the Shared Services team and is based in our brand new North Geelong Head Office.

Be prepared to support 3 sister Engineering companies in their respective industries nationally.

**Key HR Officer responsibilities**:

- Monitoring relevant legislation and ensuring that the company HR employment practices and policies meet requirements;
- Assisting in the regular review, development and implementation of organisational directives, work instructions and HR related systems and documentation with an aim to maintain compliance and achieve industry best practice where possible;
- Maintaining relevant human resources records, information and databases to ensure accuracy and availability of information where required;
- Assisting in the coordination of all aspects of the employee lifecycle including the end to end recruitment process, induction and termination;
- Developing programmes that enhance employee relations and experience;
- Ensuring employees have correct pay and benefits in line with applicable Award, EBA or National Employment Standards;
- Delivering compensation and benefit comparison reports to the executive team;
- Promoting equality, health and safety within the company;
- Advising executives on matters of salaries, redundancy and employment law where applicable;
- Recording and processing confidential information.
- Supporting the Health & Safety function of the business with Direction from the Safety, People & Culture Manager with regard to legislative and company compliance.

**Executive Assistant responsibilities**:

- Provide administrative and secretarial support
- Accurate and effective diary management
- Filing, preparation, collation and distribution of supportive documentation, notes and correspondence.
- Contract & Document Management
- Booking of domestic and international travel and accommodation.
- Expense reconciliation.
- Provide project assistance as required.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. including Board members, Dealers and Suppliers.

**Skills, knowledge, attributes and experience**:
**Essential**
- 3 years’ previous experience in a human resources role;
- High quality communication skills that result in effective and clear communication with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders;
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills to facilitate interaction, cooperation and trust with relevant stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and establish and maintain strong and productive working relationships.
- A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Workplace Agreements, Common Law Contracts and Legislation including but not limited to the _Fair Work Act 2009_ and _Equal Opportunity Act 1984_;
- Ability to work under direction from the Safety, People & Culture Manager to achieve high quality results by taking a shared responsibility for setting priorities, organizing workloads and meeting prescribed or self-imposed deadlines in a team environment;
- High attention to detail and ability to prepare documentation in line with relevant situational requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times;
- Ability to travel nationally between Australian States;
- Proven experience in enhancing processes and practices;
- Proven experience in adding value to the team, Directorate and organization while working independently under broad direction and strict deadlines;
- Proactive solution focused approach with a clear ability to prioritize a large workload;
**Desirable**
- Knowledge or experience using Employment Hero HR or similar;
- Knowledge or experience in the Mining, Energy and Resources and/or Construction Industries.
- Knowledge or Experience in Health & Safety practices.
