**About the role**:
A highly rewarding **internal** opportunity to join the Schools Unit at our City Campus as our VCE Psychology teacher

This opportunity is offering a.2 FTE - 1 day per week teaching VCE students high quality and innovative psychology course material. You will be supporting student success in Unit 1 and 2 VCE Psychology courses

This role is one of several positions in the VCE unit of the School Foundation Studies and Adult Learning
- Schools Unit. The position reports to the Senior Secondary Programs Coordinator and is responsible for liaising with students, relevant industry groups, community services providers, overseas partners and employees of BHI at all levels.

The Schools Unit, as part of the Educational Delivery division, provides pre-accredited programs; foundation programs, such as learner support, general, English language studies, transition and work education; and senior secondary school programs such as VCE, VCAL, iVCAL and VET in schools.

Our courses provide pathways into further education and employment, and help to increase life and employability skills. Full-time, part-time, on-campus, blended, work-based and online delivery options exist to suit the needs of our students and industry partners.

This role is fixed term until October 2023. A fantastic opportunity to work one day per week at the City Campus in this role

**About You**:

- Degree or higher qualification in Education (major in Psychology)
- Current VIT Registration
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons for VCE Unit 1-2 Psychology in line with the current VCAA study design. Experience in effectively managing difficult and sensitive topics and questions.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
- High level awareness of, and responsiveness to, people from a broad range of diverse backgrounds and emotional contexts
- Appreciation of administrative requirements required for the coordination of vocation education and training, an understanding of OH&S, equity and equal opportunities, and legislation to TAFE teaching
