**Role Description/Criteria**

This is an ongoing teaching position with the initial Deputy Principal and/or Leader of School Improvement tenure commencing in Term 1 2024.
Both of these positions are integral to our school and will be responsible for enacting our school vision and philosophy. Working with the leadership team, these leader/s will contribute to the collaborative decision-making process of our school. They will providing an excellent role model for other educators through supporting and monitoring of learning and growth of effective educators and setting of high standards for students and staff performance.

The successful applicant will:
be committed to the ethos of a Catholic school
be able to integrate faith and life within the curriculum
be able to support teachers in delivering purposeful learning experiences that are differentiated to accommodate a range of abilities and learning
have a sound knowledge and understanding of current thinking and research into curriculum, pedagogy and the Victorian Curriculum
possess excellent communication, interpersonal skills and dispositions
effectively use data to inform the teaching and learning of students
be accredited to teacher Religious Education
Hold current VIT registration
Have a strong commitment to the ethos of the Catholic school

Applications for the position of **Leader of School Improvement** will only be considered if they include the following:
- a cover letter (2 pages maximum)
- response to the selection criteria (4 pages maximum)
- CV that includes the names and contact details of three referees (including a parish priest)
