Facade Drafter

Our client, a leading curtain wall and cladding contractor is seeking an experienced AutoCAD drafter. You will have the opportunity to partner with reputable builders, working on a variety of tier 1 and 2 projects whilst liaising with the fabrication and installation teams.

Their in-house design drafting team based in Melbourne seek an experienced, diligent and team orientated facade / or curtain wall drafter
- You will be required- Reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings and specifications
- Providing submission of shop drawings using AutoCAD (2D/3D) accurately and on time
- Communicating with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ideally you will have:
- Local experienced within commercial façade / windows environments (overseas experience will also be considered provided you are familiar with Australian standards)
- Demonstrated understanding of products, design and production processes within commercial cladding and curtain wall
- Experienced and competent with AutoCAD 2D & 3D
- Experienced with the design and documentation of aluminium, glass, steel and composite panels.
- A strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines with minimum supervision
- Well organised with a high attention to detail
- Ability to work cohesively with other design member and Project Managers
