Survey Technician

Our experienced survey consultancy teams provide complete control of any asphalt surfacing project, removing risk and smoothing the path to success.

For over 20 years, we have been helping customers around the world bring accuracy and control to asphalt paving and milling projects. Our experience in North America, Australasia and Southeast Asia spans more than 1000 projects to date.

**About the Role**

As a Surveying Technician you will work collaboratively with our PaveSmart control operator and specialise in collecting accurate ground survey data used to create precise variable depth asphalt paving and milling levels.

You will do this by accurately surveying the initial surface to determine a grid and proceed by plotting out precise milling cuts or paving depths for each consecutive run that the milling machine or asphalt paver needs to make. You will be responsible for formulating a very precise picture of how much material will be required for the job and the required finished levels needed.

The role also entails other engineering survey related tasks, including set-out for structures, roads and bridges, as constructed plans and drawings, line marking and reinstatement survey.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Liaise on a daily basis with site supervisors and engineering staff
- Perform asphalt surveying works including set-out and as-built
- Install control networks as required
- Variable dept paving and milling control
- Volume and critical depth analysis
- Design set out
- Line marking reinstatement

**About You**

Preferred Knowledge and Skills Base
- Roadworks experience - knowledge of road construction materials and practices would be an advantage.
- Experience with Magnet field & Topcon equipment would be an advantage.

**Salary**: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
