**About the role**

The SAP SRM Lead Application Analyst develops and maintains large, complex corporate systems that facilitate the achievement of the Department’s core business through the use of process and technology. The SRM Lead Application Analyst provides sound, technical and professional advice to the role supervisor, and actively contributes to planning, system documentation and reporting.

In this role you will;
- Assume technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process to ensure compliance with development standards and achievement of documented requirements
- Provide design, analysis and/or programming expertise into the development and/or enhancement of complex computer-based programs, systems, databases and prototypes
- Utilise technical expertise in the requirements analysis and corrections phases to ensure the solution is both fit for purpose and fit for use
- Provide ongoing second and third level technical support for programs and systems; analyse and resolve problems, and where necessary, follow-through with external service providers; monitor recurring problems to identify trends and resolve issues
- Contribute to ICT planning to ensure that programs, systems and change requests are considered in the context of emerging ICT requirements; actively contribute to future resource and capacity planning, ICT security and disaster recovery planning activities to provide adequate protection for the Department and system users
- Maintain timely and accurate system documentation, including change requests, technical and user guides, software asset and configuration registers, problem and resolution knowledge bases, and other documentation produced during the program and/or system lifecycle
- Provide timely, specialist advice and support to the role supervisor, senior managers and system users to ensure seamless service delivery, reliability and optimal effectiveness of programs and systems; provide operational reports to the role supervisor and/or ICT senior management team

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience in large or complex IT and business environments gained through supporting IT operational functions and/or through working in IT projects.
- 5+ years Functional experience working with SAP SRM 7.0 and ECC 6.0 Enhancement pack, Material management, Procure to Pay. Deep functional experience in Extended Classic Scenario
- Functional and technical expertise to support end users and maintain SAP SRM module in a complex workflow approval determination in a large public sector environment.
- Undertake Level 2 and Level 3 SAP SRM technical support, and where necessary, recommend follow-through with external service providers; collect information and/or escalate recurring problems to resolve performance and related issues.
- Experience managing ongoing system change activities targeted at improving the system and business process including participating in release, change and configuration management processes.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and technical documentation skills with the capacity to deal with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional manner
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
