**Job description**:The position of Cafe Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the café. They hire, train, and supervise kitchen and floor staff, order inventory supplies, resolve customer complaints, and ensure that the café and restaurant adhere to food health and safety regulations.

**Tasks Include**:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café/restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to maintain high-quality food standards and timely delivery of orders.
- Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies, and ensuring adequate stock.
- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
- Create work schedules, assign tasks, and ensure that staff adhere to café/restaurant policies and procedures.
- Provide ongoing training to improve the skills and performance of the team.
- Ensure excellent customer service by maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate on refining business objectives and long-term plans.
- Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
- Maintain regular communication with the owner to discuss overall performance, goals, and strategies.
- Monitor and control operating costs, such as labour and food expenses.
- Implement pricing strategies and promotions to maximize revenue.
- Maintain and enforce hygiene and safety standards in the café/restaurant.
- Monitor food quality and presentation to meet the restaurant's standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
- Collaborate with chefs to plan and update the menu based on customer preferences and market trends.
- Introduce new dishes and specials to attract and retain customers.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase café/restaurant visibility and attract new customers.
- Coordinate promotions, events, and collaborations to boost sales.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts and prices for food and beverage supplies.
- Handle administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Prepare and analyze reports on sales, expenses, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, licensing requirements, and other legal obligations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

**The skills required for this position are**:

- At least Diploma of Hospitality Management or related fields with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Good organizational skills for high demand of diversity of duties and staff matters
- Be pleasant, polite manner for dealing with public and staff
- Be professional, responsible and able to work with a team of employees under constant work pressure
- Ability to maintain employee’s relations leading by example and demonstrated willingness to work in a team environment

Pay: $70,000.00 per year
