In this opportunity as a ‘Group Support Facilitator’ you will work with and manage the ‘Lived Experience Peer Worker’ to develop and implement the facilitation of the group support activities whilst working closely with the consortium partners including Wungening Aboriginal Corporation (Wungening) and Multicultural Service Centre of WA (MSCWA). A typical day may look like.
- Supporting people using a combination of person centred, strengths based, recovery orientated approaches in response to their needs
- Working alongside participants to achieve goals and aspirations they have identified to improve their quality of life and psychosocial health
- Developing and facilitating activities to identify individual, group and community needs and developing and delivering group workshops and activities to meet these needs ensuring cultural appropriateness
- Drafting reports as required for funding bodies and/or external stakeholders
- Strategic networking with external and internal stakeholders to promote the service, enhance group activities, and support participants in their recovery journey
- Responding to and managing crisis in collaboration with relevant adult mental health services
- Using client management systems to accurately record visits and document dated notes
- Staff management including coordinating recruitment, developing staff, monitoring/managing staff performance, and mentoring
- Conducting regular meetings and catchups with team individuals and group format

This is a part-time position working 38 hours per fortnight - days and hours to be discussed. You will be based in the Perth metro area within our various Rise offices/centres including our Helen’s Place location in Middle Swan.

- Qualification in Human Services (e.g. Disability, Aged Care, Allied Health, Community Services) and/or relevant experience
- Experience working in Mental Health Recovery and Person Led models of practice.
- Experience of working with and managing teams of Peer Workers (or similar)
- Demonstrated experience in the development, delivery and assessment of workshops and activities that work to improve a participant’s quality of life and psychosocial function
