**The Centre**

At Guardian Preston West, We believe that children are individuals who bring with them unique characteristics and strengths. We believe in the rights of children and their right to actively form relationships, knowledge, feelings and a self-identity. We aim to base our curriculum on this image of children as full of life, power and confidence. Through the conscious use of space, colour, natural light, visual documentation, and attention to nature and detail, we believe our environment serves as the third teacher. We strive for engaging environments that reflect the culture of our children and families. Our environments are purposeful, meaningful and inspiring spaces for children to engage with one another in small and large groups. We also acknowledge and take inspiration from our local community in all aspects of our centre life. We believe that children are capable and involved learners, who can make choices and decisions that impact on their learning and life within the centre. Our educator team is responsive to children’s thinking, theory making and the varied learning styles, which informs our curriculum decisions. Inquiry based learning is strongly embedded into our teaching and programs. Through projects, the children are invited to fully immerse themselves in concepts that allow for collaboration, complex theory making, critical thinking and expression making.

**The Opportunity**
Working closely with your fellow Educators and Centre Manager, you will enjoy;
- Developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the centre community.
- Developing and implementing an innovative early learning program reflective of current early years thinking and practice.
- Documenting and sharing with families in their children's learning and development.
- Actively contributing to the implementation and adoption of the Guardian Curriculum.
- Professional learning and development programs, career pathways, and a truly collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

**To be considered, you will have**:

- Working towards a cert 3
- Traineeship available
- Prior experience in long day-care
- Sound, practical working knowledge and implementation of the NQF and the EYLF
- Current Working with Children's Check.
