**Senior Manager, Data Strategy and Governance**

Responding to the growth in volume of the university's data, this exciting position will design a data governance framework and roadmap for implementation, and guide the development and implementation of data governance policies, procedures and practices.

**About the Role**
- Propose mechanisms for approval/endorsement of policies and procedures; draft data governance policy and procedure for approval.
- Design and implement data management operating models; define roles, responsibilities and processes to enable data governance.
- Collaborate with senior leaders in the business intelligence network to develop and implement a capability framework for business insights.
- Collaboration across teams, including the analytics community to develop effective and innovative processes.
- Coordinate data across multiple platforms, identify and prioritise opportunities to improve data quality and processes

**Skills & Experience**
- Relevant experience in Data Governance.
- Proven experience in establishing Governance functions in large organisations.
- Extensive experience identifying client needs, designing solutions and building relationships.
- Demonstrated understanding of and capability to manage the data governance challenge; to both protect and secure data while optimising its utilisation.
- Advantageous to have a knowledge of higher education and an understanding of academic and administrative practices in a University.
