**Designer**:

- Date: 14 Nov 2023- Location: Brisbane, QLD, AU, 4101- Company: VentiaWe require an experienced **Designer to join our Telecommunications Fixed Network Design team in Brisbane**. This is a permanent position to produce quality designs within required timeframes while satisfying Ventia’s quality and WHS standards.

**About the role**
You will be responsible to deliver the requirements, expectations and standards to meet the Design work schedule, supporting the delivery of work to be on time and to prescribed quality standards, including accurate and time entry of as-built data into relevant client databases. Your responsibilities will also include aspects of
- Contract execution - ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to, critical timelines are followed to assist in scheduling construction works, manage escalations for work as required and identifying any roadblocks
- WHS Management - ensuring all safety incidents are reported on time and ensuring appropriate remedial and preventative action is taken
- Quality - ensuring standards are adhered and identify opportunities for improvement
- Preparing aerial construction plans from certified plans from utility companies
- Data collection and validation of the test results
- Preparation of bill of quantities and material estimates
- Quality checking of the designs and redlines with regards to industry and client standards
- Assisting with new pilot program designs

**About you**

To be considered for this role you must have at least 5 years’ experience within the telecommunications design and construction industry. Ideally you will also have a Cert IV in telecommunications. It goes without saying that you will have

- Be focused and plan to achieve goals
- Ability to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
- Be adaptable to changing circumstances.
