**The Role**
You will join a small but energetic team, reporting to the Head of P&C. As a steadily growing business you will be involved a wide range of activities and will have an opportunity to make a real difference.
In the broad ranging role you will:
- Support local teams with ER and IR issues
- Coordinate training, performance and probation management
- Work as part of a team running local recruitment campaigns including assessment centres for new store openings
- Support site inductions and on-boarding activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation
- Deliver the annual calendar of activities including remuneration reviews, performance reviews, training and much more.
Qualifications & Competencies
- Previous experience of working with modern awards e.g. the General Retail Award, Meat Industry Award, Storage Services and Wholesale awards.
- Experience of ER case management with a people-centric approach rather than process.
- Willing to take a hands-on approach and help team mates where needed including working in stores over our peak trading period of Christmas.
- Experienced and competent HR generalist skills.
- IT skills: LiveHire, Dayforce HCM, Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in HR, Psychology or Business majoring in human resources
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle (you will be allocated a portfolio of sites as primary HR contact and will be expected to regularly visit sites to build strong relationships and offer support).
- Retail experience preferable
