Container Administrator

We are currently looking for a reliable and experienced **Container Administrator**, for potential ongoing casual employment at the Port of Brisbane, QLD. The main purpose of this role is to administer the efficient and accurate processing of import and container shipments, liaising with brokers or customers for customs clearance and delivery.
- Requirements_:
- Highly self-motivated and the ability to work effectively as part of a team effort or autonomously
- Reliable source of transport
- At least 2 years experience in import logistics or similar role
- Familiar with import customs regulations and procedures
- Proficient in import documentation, including bills of loading and packing lists
- Working knowledge of container terminal operations (desirable)
- Accurate and timely data entry skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service, problem solving and influencing skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, WMS, 1-STOP)
- Interact in a professional and respectful manner with stakeholders (internal and external)
- Responsibilities:_
- Manage import container documentation, including bills of loading and packing lists
- Liaise with Import Brokers, Customers and Freight Forwarders to ensure smooth import processes
- Track and monitor the status of import containers, identifying and resolving any delays or issues
- Maintain accurate records of import shipments, including container numbers, contents, and Biosecurity-AQIS inspection requirements
- May be required to perform occasional audits of import documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Maintain accurate record keeping systems
- Set up of new product codes for new and existing customers. Generate codes in register for stock control (System)
- Prepare data to move to Carton Cloud WMS
- Follow practices and procedures regarding, HACCP and Approved Arrangement guidelines
- Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) compliance, specifically DP World
- Ensure all filing and records are kept for auditing purposes
- If required Liaise with freight companies to pick up containers
- Know where specific vessel is, check containers are on vessel and when are they due, using 1- Stop
- Check shipping company web sites to track containers as required
- Management of scheduling AQIS inspections
- Liaise with “Martogg” for direct container management

**Salary**: $32.73 - $34.58 per hour
