**About the role**:
As the Leave Cover Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing social work practice to referred patients across the general and subacute hospitals. This will see you working in a range of general clinical and specialty areas with different teams and patient cohorts. A regular day will see you undertake a range of valuable clinical social work interventions that support patient care and outcomes. You will have opportunities to clinically supervise and guide the practice of social workers employed within the social work department. The Social Work Department will provide you with professional training (including external professional development), learning support and supervision to support your growth and career development.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide counselling services to patients and families
- Supervise social work staff
- Undertake quality improvement work / activities
- Professional learning

**You must have**:
**A degree in Social Work**

**Ideally you'll have**:
**previously worked in a hospital setting**
