Support Care Angels is looking for a Community Support Worker to work in the Northsides of Brisbane.

**The Role**
- Assistance with Personal Activities: supporting the development of daily living and life skills including hygiene, dressing and domestic tasks.
- Household Tasks: general household services, such as cleaning, home and yard maintenance, laundry and meal preparation and delivery.
- Assistance with Travel and Transport: for those who cannot use public or other private transport, from their home to their daytime activities, place of study or workplace etc.
- Assistance with Life Stage Transitions: short or long term supports focus on strengthening people's ability to coordinate their supports, so they can live at home, be part of the community, assistance with decision making, daily planning, budgeting, as well as connection, mentoring, peer support.
- Participation in the Community: from supporting clients during individual and group community activities to supported shopping, medical appointments, sporting and recreational events, social activities, visiting or making new friends, travel and building confidence and social skills.
- Development of Life Skills: supporting skills to live as autonomously as possible including the ability to travel and use public transport independently or with mínimal support

**Qualifications & experience**
- Living in Australia (Brisbane Northside QLD)
- Minimum Certificate 3 in individual support or Community
- Cert 3 in Disability an advantage
- Cert 3 in Aged Care an advantage
- Minimum one year experience preferred
- Current First aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work with diverse people
- Driver's license a must or willingness to obtain
- Current Australian Federal Police check
- Ndis Worker screen or current yellow card & Blue Card
- Exceptional communication skill satisfactory computer skills
- The ability to develop positive relationships with the clients and to support their individual care plans as appropriate
- Calm and rational response to emergency
- Experience working with ASD, Development Disorders, Early Onset Dementia, Brain Injury & Mental Health Conditions

**COVID-19 considerations**:
Must follow Government directives on mask wearing and hand hygiene
