Primary Teacher

**About the Role**
- Full-time
- Maternity leave replacement position
- 6 month position for Term 3 & 4 2023 (24 July to 31 December)

Seeking an exceptional and passionate primary trained teacher to join our Junior School teaching team.

Our teaching staff are dedicated professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional learning opportunities that cater for a diverse range of students.

Teaching staff need to be involved in the wider life of the School and hold a willingness to participate fully in the School's co-curricular program.
- Bachelor of Education and or other equivalent academic qualification specific to the specialist area of education (Primary)
- Registration with the Tasmanian Teachers' Registration Board (TRB) or the ability to obtain
- Be willing to work within the School's Christian ethos and actively support the values and philosophy of the School
- A comprehensive understanding of current educational matters, including the Australian Curriculum
- Have an understanding of the developmental needs of Prep to Year 4 school learners and an ability to encourage, support and challenge students both socially and academically.
- Delivery of an educational vision and purpose consistent with the School’s Mission
- Be passionate about working with young people and have the ability to engage them in a dynamic learning environment.
- Outstanding classroom practice and comprehensive experience using Information Technology within the teaching and learning program
- Have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the capacity to interact effectively with a range of school community members
- Show a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity in education for all students

Remuneration is in accordance with the successful applicant’s experience and the St Michael's Collegiate School (Teachers) Enterprise Agreement 2020.
