**About Ku-ring-gai Council**

**About the role**

Reporting to the Team Leader Urban Planning, this role will see you provide assistance to the Urban Planning and Heritage Team and contribute to research and policy development in line with relevant legislation and Council’s strategic direction.

**Duties**
- Undertaking research for local planning studies and urban design studies
- Assisting in the preparation of material to support the Ku-ring-gai Local Environmental Plan and Development Control Plan
- Assisting in the preparation of planning reports
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of community consultation
- Providing basic planning advice and information to other sections of Council and to members of the public

**Qualifications, skills & experience**
- Currently studying (and have completed more than half) an Urban Planning degree
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence
