- The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts is responsible for the design and implementation of the Australian Government’s transport and regional development policies and programs, and is the lead agency for communications and the arts.

The division is responsible for providing financial management and business services. The Finance Branch provides specialist financial management advice, develops and delivers on both external and internal budgets, statutory obligations and related policies services.

- The role of the Finance Business Partner is to deliver customer focused, fit-for-purpose and professional
- financial management and budgeting services on behalf of the Chief Financial Officer, to Senior Executives and staff, particularly on complex matters such as financial planning, forecasting, costing and reporting.
- What will you do?

**Finance Business Partner**
- Develop and manage budget information, including staffing, operational and capital.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for Senior Executive, including variance analysis, commentary and analysis of the full year forecast.
- Monitor and review monthly forecasts in partnership with our stakeholders.
- Provide advice on emerging and material financial impacts on the financial performance of our stakeholders.
- Foster and maintain effective working relationships to promote partnerships and seamless financial services.
- Track divisional staffing movements and recruitment activity.
- Support the development of internal funding proposals.
- Prepare monthly financial accruals.
- Co-ordinate input into the end of financial year process and ANAO audit requests and compliance activities
- Contribute towards business and operational planning.
- Co-ordinate financial input into divisional reporting requirements including the annual report, senate estimates, questions on notice and ministerial briefings.
- Who are we looking for?
