ATCO is looking for a **GIS Analyst **to join our dedicated Asset Management team, playing a pivotal role in maintaining spatial data and delivering spatial solutions to project delivery operations. If you are passionate about geospatial mapping and data governance, this is the opportunity for you.
Reporting to the GIS Co-ordinator based in Jandakot, the position will interact with multiple teams within the business and external stakeholders to ensure the Landbase information is aligned with the latest information supplied by Landgate.
**About the role**
- Collaborate with an agile team to provide services supporting efficient, accurate and timely recording, maintenance, and provision of asset information.
- Provide technical and operational leadership across the GIS team and the broader business including user training, project support, liaison with IT, and asset data integrity management to a high professional standard.
- Manage the Cadastral Update process throughout the Gas Distribution Network.
- Oversee spatial outputs for the Projects and other minor ad-hoc projects within Location Intelligence.
- Develop and foster relationships, networks and alliances with industry, government agencies to deliver optimal project outcomes.
- Liaise with various groups including Project Engineers, Construction team, Operations team, Business Development, Asset Planning team and other Utilities and contractors to support the achievement of team objectives.
**What we are looking for**
- Qualification or experience in Geography, Data Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Surveying.
- Working knowledge of geospatial network models, preferably within GIS environment and ESRI Suit of ArcGIS software. Knowledge in ArcGIS Pro Utility model is desirable.
- Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine).
- Demonstrated experience across varying forms of spatial analysis, the development of map products, and spatial/asset reporting.
- Sound cartographic, drafting, and spatial reasoning skills.
- Extensive GIS expertise, technical drawing and drafting experience and a strong knowledge of industry design standards.
- Knowledge of GIS programming logic (Python), SDE maintenance and structure.
