**What we seek**:
Paul Clout Design has an open position for an Architectural Draftsperson.
**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Create detailed architectural drawings and plans based on sketches, specifications, and requirements provided by architects and designers.
Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate and high-quality drawings.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure drawings meet project standards and objectives.
Incorporate feedback and revisions into drawings as necessary throughout the design process.
Coordinate with contractors and builders to clarify design specifications and resolve any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws in all drawings.
Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, including renderings and visualizations, for client meetings and project proposals.
Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information for drawings and verify accuracy.
Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to architectural drafting.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by communicating effectively and participating actively in team meetings and discussions.
Take initiative in problem-solving and finding creative solutions to design challenges.
Adhere to project timelines and deadlines, prioritizing tasks effectively to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Maintain professionalism and integrity in all interactions, representing the company positively to clients and stakeholders.
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in architectural drafting and design.
**To be successful in this role, you’ll need the following skills and knowledge**:
**Technical Skills**:
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD) for creating architectural drawings.
Knowledge of drafting standards and practices, including dimensioning, layering, and annotation.
Understanding of building codes, regulations, and zoning laws to ensure compliance in drawings.
Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, sketches, and specifications.
Familiarity with 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino) for creating architectural visualizations and renderings.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) for editing and enhancing drawings and presentations.
