National Whs&e Specialist

Sydney, Australia Sterning Full time

We're seeking a dynamic National WHS&E specialist responsible for maintaining, implementing, and managing health, safety, and environmental systems. Your role involves ensuring compliance with high standards, collaborating across the organisation to manage WHS&E risks and embedding safe work practices.

In addition to maintaining compliance documentation, you will organise safety training, manage workers' compensation, and update WH&S documentation for projects. On-site audits and inspections will be crucial to your responsibilities, ensuring legislative compliance and WH&S policy adherence.

You'll play a key role in obtaining ISO 45001 certification, clearly understanding its requirements and overseeing the auditing process for larger project pitches. Your involvement in the Return-to-Work (RTW) process, including managing two individuals, demonstrates your commitment to employee well-being.

To enhance safety culture, you'll implement a WHS committee, conduct toolbox talks, and provide comprehensive training on SWIIMS (Safe Work Instructions and Information Management Systems). Your focus on local sites within Sydney metropolitan areas and short training sessions on topics like manual handling ensures on-site safety.

As part of projects, you'll require comprehensive SWIIMS, and your dedication to ISO certification preparation will involve identifying gaps and improving operations to meet certification requirements.

Salary is $120k plus super, and access to company vehicle for site visits.

Experience in construction or manufacturing will be highly regarded; however, don't let this stop you from getting in touch for more information - contact Bianca Clifton on 0422335638.
