Piacentini & Son is a Mining and Earthmoving Contractor specialising in bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, dry hire equipment, sales, heavy haulage transportation, mining and earthmoving services.

Ideally, we are seeking a proactive Certificate IV Qualified Trainer/ Assessor to join our Training and Learning Team. Proven practical experience as a maintenance trainer is preferred, however, experienced Trades People wishing to change direction and move into a training role will be considered. Training you, into the role is possible.

Based in Picton (Bunbury) you will service our Picton home workshops as well as mine sites across Western Australia and South Australia.

The ideal applicant will have extensive workshop experience in the mining industry and be able to unpack, write, deliver and assess a large range of skills and competencies to our trades people and apprentices. Examples of the training that you will provide or be capable of learning are:

- Move and test heavy mining vehicles
- VoC LF, CN, DG, WP, RB, RI, CV
- VoC hand held equipment such as grinders, drills and other workshop tools
- Workshop processes in tooling such as Hose and Coupler Assembly.
- Writing SWI procedures, learning tasks and assessment pieces

Working back to back on a 9:5 roster, this position will work closely with our onsite Production Supervisors and report directly to the Training and Learning Coordinator of the business as well as site Project Manager's.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure employees are trained, assessed and compliant in accordance with site Training Needs Analysis and Training Management Plan.
- Ensuring all personnel have access to training and inductions when required to meet legal and site competency requirements.
- Ensure all training documentation is accurately completed and entered
- Manage assessment, reassessment and refresher training across site.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years' experience as a Trainer/ Assessor in a similar role or substantial Trades experience within the mining and earth moving industry.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment is desirable or
- Field Base Trainer/Assessor Qualification (Support will be given to obtain)
- Certificate III or above or capacity to gain in a relevant Trade.
- Proven experience within a HV workshop maintaining mobile earthmoving and mining equipment
- The ability to mentor and train others with respect
- Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of employees
- You must have working rights in Australia
