Are you a Senior Engineer with a passion for bespoke industrial automation looking to take the next step in your career?
Do you have experience in leading projects, managing people and experience of execution on key deliverables.
Our client is at the cutting edge of industrial automation integrating a range of technology to create bespoke automated manufacturing systems for major clients in the manufacturing, food/beverage sectors and beyond. A leader in the field of advanced manufacturing, their turnkey automation systems draw on in-house proprietary IP to deliver pioneering solutions, some incorporating AI and machine learning tech. Well-funded, well networked and having seen significant growth over recent years they are now at the start of the next stage of their growth story.
They have now created a new opportunity for an experienced or senior electrical design engineer to join their energetic and dynamic team.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this role will focus on delivering on key business projects with responsibilities including:
- Lead, inspire, negotiate, cajole and convince the different engineering disciplines during project life cycle, to maintain focus of business and project objectives.
- Set and manage time budgets for various projects
- Plan strategies for development of designs and products on schedule and on budget.
- Daily supervision of multiple teams.
- Hire new talent for the team and offer coaching and development opportunities
- Create reports to update design teams
- Provide input in strategic technical decisions and solutions.
About you:
To thrive in this role, it is likely that you already have demonstrable experience in the similar position - with experience in or enthusiasm for robotics and automation. In addition to your tertiary qualification in Engineering, and/or Project Management you will have:
- Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and Vault
- High degree of knowledge in configuration, programming and commissioning of PLCs - experience with both Rockwell and Seimens is advantageous.
- Ability to think ahead and anticipate problems, issues and solutions
- Experience leading multiple or large teams
- Ability to effectively liaise with Heads of Department, GM and Project Managers for updates on projects.
