We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Logistics Officer to join a dynamic team, working on a range of different projects that keep the Mint running smoothly and efficiently. The Mint is a unique Government Department with a mixture of manufacturing and administrative personnel, making us one of the most diverse agencies in the APS.

Primarily, the Logistics Officer will manage and receipt incoming inventory. They will ensure that any discrepancies that arise during the process are resolved or brought to the attention of the Warehouse Supervisor, and that all documentation is recorded appropriately. The Logistics Officer is required to operate forklifts and other manual handling equipment in order to move inventory around the warehouse to maximise warehouse storage, space and efficiency and facilitate internal deliveries.

The Logistics Officer is responsible for maintaining the supply chain for circulating coin, including providing support to the Warehouse Supervisor to process withdrawn coin claims. They will monitor the security, control, storage and disposal of serialised inventory and maintain accurate records. In addition, the Logistics Officer will provide support to the dispatch section to fulfil and dispatch orders.

The duties of this position include:

- Managing and receipting incoming inventory, resolving discrepancies and ensuring all documentation is recorded in ERP.
- Actioning store requests and facilitating internal deliveries and the movement of goods.
- Monitoring the security, control and storage of serialised inventory to maximise warehouse space and efficiency, and ensuring effective disposal.
- Maintaining the supply chain for circulating coin, including processing sales orders.
- Supporting the Warehouse Supervisor with processing withdrawn coin claims, ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
- Operating forklifts and other manual handling equipment.
- Supporting the dispatch section in dispatching goods, managing purchase order receipts and facilitating delivery of circulating coins.
- Assisting with periodical stocktakes to ensure accurate inventory management.

**Security clearance**

This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.

**Licence**

A Current High Risk Work (Forklift) licence is required.
