**About Ballarat Day Procedure Centre**

Ballarat Day Procedure Centre comprises of three operating theatres and offers a broad range of surgical services for all patients. Surgical specialities include Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, IVF, Plastics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT, General surgery and Dental.

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Technician to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

The Theatre Technician will work as a competent, reliable member of the health care team under the guidance of nursing, anaesthetic and surgical staff, in their delivery of patient care.
- Current BLS certification
- Desirable
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong evidence of accountability and responsibility for actions
- A demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and with supervision as required
- A demonstrated ability to cope effectively with competing and conflicting priorities
- A demonstrated ability to respond proactively and adapt to changing needs.
- A demonstrated ability to generate effective solutions to problems
- Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development and self-directed learning
- Good organisational skills, flexible and adaptable.
- Basic computer skills and abilities desirable

**Essential criteria**:

- Completed a minimum Certificate III in Health Service Assistance (Theatre Technician) or equivalent
- Recent 2-3 years’ experience as a theatre technician is preferable
